About the Company

XSuit is a company dedicated to reimagining traditional menswear, focusing on creating a suit that is not only stylish but also highly functional. The company’s flagship product, the xSuit, features advanced fabrics that offer stretch, stain resistance, and machine washability. By cutting out middlemen and selling exclusively online, XSuit is able to offer high-quality suits at competitive prices.

The company’s journey began in July 2017 with the launch of its first product line. Despite challenges, XSuit has managed to sell over 20,000 suits, expand its product line to include shirts and accessories, and grow a loyal customer base. The business also responded to the COVID-19 pandemic by introducing the xMask Pro, selling over 50,000 masks and donating to frontline workers.

Idea Behind Company

Maximilien Perez’s idea for XSuit was born out of personal frustration with traditional suits. Coming from a family with a long history in the fashion industry, Perez was no stranger to the business. After working in public relations and as a creative director, he decided to merge his passion for clothing and design to create a unique product.

The idea of a comfortable, low-maintenance suit came to him after experiencing various issues with traditional suits, such as discomfort and the need for frequent dry cleaning. He realized that no one had successfully created a suit that combined comfort, durability, and ease of care, leading him to explore this untapped market.

Creating the Company

The creation of XSuit involved extensive market research and experimentation. Perez started by analyzing existing suits with stretch fabrics and found them lacking in comfort and functionality. He then looked to other industries, like sportswear, to find materials that would offer the desired stretch without compromising the suit’s appearance.

After sourcing the right fabric, Perez sought to add features that would reduce the need for maintenance. This led to the incorporation of nanotechnologies like Gore-Tex, making the suit liquid and stain-resistant. With a final product in hand, Perez tested his concept through a Kickstarter campaign, which exceeded expectations and validated the market demand for his innovative suit.

Launching the Business

XSuit’s business launch was strategically executed through a Kickstarter campaign, which helped gauge market interest and secure initial funding. Perez focused heavily on digital marketing, utilizing social media, email campaigns, and PR efforts to build buzz around the product. The campaign was a resounding success, surpassing its $50,000 goal within 24 hours and ultimately raising $650,000.

Following the Kickstarter success, XSuit continued to grow its customer base through platforms like Indiegogo and by expanding its online presence. Perez’s background in design and marketing played a crucial role in creating visually appealing and engaging content, which helped drive sales and build a strong brand identity.

Earnings

Since its launch, XSuit has grown to achieve $250,000 in monthly revenue, with the business becoming profitable two years ago. The company has focused on optimizing finances, including managing expenses and setting clear financial goals. This careful financial management has allowed XSuit to sustain its growth and continue expanding its product offerings.

XSuit’s business model, which leverages direct-to-consumer sales, has proven successful in maintaining a high return on ad spend (ROAS) and keeping customer acquisition costs in check. The company’s future plans include product expansion and continued innovation in the men’s fashion industry.
