Splynx

About the Company
Splynx, founded by Alex Vishnyakov and his partners in 2016, provides a comprehensive SaaS platform tailored for internet and voice service providers. The company operates from four offices in Prague, Barcelona, Johannesburg, and Ukraine, and employs 50 people. Splynx's software supports various functionalities, including billing, payment collections, and CRM, serving a global customer base predominantly from English-speaking countries.
Idea Behind Company
Alex Vishnyakov's background in networking and software development led him to identify a gap in the market for a flexible, customizable billing platform for ISPs. His previous venture, Mikrobill, failed due to its rigid pricing model and limited features. This experience, combined with insights gained while working in South Africa, inspired the development of Splynx, designed to address the specific needs of internet service providers with a more adaptable solution.
Creating the Company
The initial development of Splynx was a continuation of the work done on Mikrobill. The CTO and head of software development used their prior experience to build a new, more flexible platform. The product was launched in March 2016, and despite a challenging first year with a small team, the company gradually expanded its capabilities and customer base. The founders' careful adjustments and learning from early feedback played a crucial role in Splynx’s evolution.
Launching the Business
Splynx launched its product at a conference in Ljubljana, Slovenia, and quickly onboarded initial clients, including former Mikrobill customers. The company's early days were marked by a cautious approach to financing, relying on internal resources before seeking external investment. The investment in 2017 helped accelerate growth, allowing Splynx to expand its team and scale operations. The company's focus on customizations and responsiveness to customer needs contributed to its early success.
