This idea eventually evolved into Fueler, a platform focused on showcasing Proof of Work.
Creating the Company
Building Fueler was a challenging journey for Riten and his team, especially since they had no prior experience in creating a startup and were bootstrapping with limited resources. The team faced numerous obstacles, including managing cash flow, designing the platform, and navigating legal procedures. Despite these challenges, they persevered, focusing on both building the platform and maintaining a steady income through freelancing and consulting work.
The development of Fueler involved extensive testing and iteration. The team conducted A/B testing to refine their landing page and used tools like Figma for prototyping. Working during the pandemic added another layer of difficulty, as the team had to collaborate remotely without prior experience in a corporate setting. However, they managed to overcome these hurdles, eventually registering Fueler as a Private Limited company in India and securing a trademark for their logo.
Launching the Business
Fueler’s launch strategy relied heavily on community-driven growth and social media engagement, particularly on Twitter. The platform’s early success was largely due to the startup community on Twitter, which provided valuable feedback and support. By building relationships and adding value to the community, Riten and his team were able to grow Fueler’s user base and increase its visibility.
