About the Company

Dohful Cookies is a pioneering online cookie business in India, known for its soft-baked, eggless cookies. The company’s offerings are made fresh to order, using high-quality pantry ingredients without preservatives. Dohful’s bestseller products, Choco Brownie and Choco Chunk Cookies, feature premium Belgian chocolate and are individually wrapped for convenience. The company targets young consumers, aged 18-30, who are well-traveled and familiar with international food trends.

Idea Behind Company

The idea for Dohful Cookies emerged during Arushi and Chaman’s honeymoon in Europe, where they first experienced soft-baked cookies. Disappointed by the dry, crunchy biscuits prevalent in India, they envisioned introducing soft, gooey cookies to the Indian market. Leveraging their background in the food and beverage industry, they were confident that Indian consumers would appreciate the unique texture and taste of soft-baked cookies.

Creating the Company

Starting Dohful was challenging due to the need for eggless recipes and the aim to reach customers nationwide. Arushi and Chaman rented a small kitchen space where Arushi experimented extensively to perfect the first cookie recipe. After more than 70 days of testing, they successfully created the Choco Chunk Cookie. Meanwhile, Chaman handled the technical aspects, including building a professional website using Shopify and focusing on SEO to increase visibility.

Launching the Business

Dohful launched with a strong online presence, thanks to a well-designed website and effective SEO strategies. The company leveraged social media and partnerships with YouTube influencers to build a community and attract customers. Collaborations with influencers helped drive significant orders and brand awareness. Arushi’s weekly Sunday Letters to subscribers also played a crucial role in retaining customers and fostering a loyal community.

Earnings

Dohful Cookies generates $15K per month in revenue, with 90% of sales coming from their website and the remaining 10% from corporate orders. The company has served over 60,000 orders and partnered with more than 50 large-scale corporate clients. Future plans include launching on Amazon and opening a brick-and-mortar store in New Delhi. The focus remains on expanding their reach while maintaining the quality and authenticity of their soft-baked cookies.
