Creating the Company
The initial phase of building DKDesigns involved a steep learning curve and rapid adaptation. The founders secured their first client, a local author needing a comprehensive digital solution, which provided the practical experience needed to refine their processes. They established essential tools and systems, such as G Suite for email and file sharing, Wave for invoicing, and AirTable for content scheduling. Legally, they registered the business as a Sole Proprietorship in Brooklyn, laying the groundwork for its official operations.
Launching the Business
Blend officially launched its beta version in May 2021, offering it for free to attract users and gather feedback. The founders tested the app with e-commerce sellers from Indonesia and India, adding features based on user input. The public launch in September 2021 involved collaborations with influencers and performance marketing campaigns to increase visibility. Despite initial uncertainties, Blend’s approach to organic growth and targeted marketing helped it establish a strong presence in the market. The app has since grown into a leading design tool in its regions.
